Well, if you are the Vatican, they are one in the same as far as gravity. In reality, women's ordination is considered a far graver offense because it's grounds for excommunication and defrocking, unlike sexual abuse of a child.
The Vatican has just revised its in-house "rules" regarding how to deal with priests who sexually abuse children (although they have not really changed much)...and took the opportunity to not just say that the ordination of women was not approved by the Catholic church, but to call it a "grave crime," subject to the same punishments as for clergy sex abuse.
Erin Saiz Hanna, executive director of the Women's Ordination Conference, commented that "the idea that women seeking to spread the message of God somehow defiles the Eucharist reveals an antiquated, backward church that still views women as unclean and unholy."
After issuing a decree in 2007 saying the attempted ordination of women would result in excommunication for the woman and the priest ordaining her, the Vatican now says that the priest can also be defrocked. Given the extreme rarity of clergy sex abusers being excommunicated much less defrocked, the Vatican is essentially saying that women's ordination is far WORSE than clergy sexual abuse.
