On Saturday, October 30, 650 members of the Opera Company of Philadelphia and other choirs went to Macy's and broke into a rendition of Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus." The department store is outfitted with a beautiful Wanamaker organ, which accompanied the singing.
I've always been a softie for the "Hallelujah Chorus." I love these "random acts of culture"!! Now if I can only ignore the CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS in October!!!
