Sex columnist Dan Savage on religion and sex

You might have read or heard of outspoken Seattle sex columnist Dan Savage (born, I just discovered on Wikipedia, 1 day after me!). His reactions to letter writers are akin to a gay Dr. Phil. It's almost as if these letter writers welcome the abuse.

I happened across this wonderful interview with Savage, in which he talks about growing up Catholic and actually studying to become a priest. Then he addresses issues of religion and sex, GLBT issues, race and politics, his admiration for Ann Landers, and how he began writing his column. He's a far more likable person on video than he is in his column. It's a long video, but it's worth it. He started the wonderful "It Gets Better" project, which exploded across the country and the internet. He's a great voice for justice.
