This is how some people respond to tragedy...

Democratic Underground has collected "teabaggers'" Facebook posts about the Japanese tragedy. I'm not convinced that all of these people are teabaggers per se, but one thing is clear: they have zero compassion or sense of humanity. Some of the idiots comparing the tsunami to Pearl Harbor are famous people.

What's especially sad about these comments extolling people to "remember Pearl Harbor" is the fact that 2,000 people died at Pearl Harbor, while 100 times the people (225,000) died because of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

One of my coworkers told me today that one of her friends commented that maybe it wasn't a bad thing that the tsunami happened, because of the population explosion.

There will always be an ignorant, insensitive boob or two around to remind us of the futility of world peace.
