Bring on the harlots!

As usual, Stephen Colbert nails it.

Because the Department of Health and Human Services is finally decreeing that health insurance must cover breast feeding, HIV screenings, abuse counseling, and other services to support women (in addition to covering VIAGRA!), some Republican congressmen such as Steve King (R-Iowa) are outraged and comparing such vital health services to manis and pedis.

As Colbert says, "You know the ladies...they are always pumping out breast milk, getting a mani-pedi, having a cosmo with their abuse counselor and then picking up some spermicidal."

Colbert reiterated some Republicans' concerns that this new policy will prevent an entire generation of Americans from being born and will turn our daughters "into wanton harlots with an insatiable sexual appetite."

The Catholic church has come out against the new policy at the same time that a study found that 98 percent of sexually active Catholic women have used birth control. This shows, yet again, how completely out of touch the Catholic hierarchy has become.

So those Republicans and Catholic leaders who are fighting against insurance coverage of birth control, not to mention breast pumps, HIV screenings, and abuse counseling? Clearly, their daughters are all celibate. Or they don't have daughters. Or they have no clue what their daughters are doing.
