Singin' in the Rain: more family theater

As soon as Kieran was done with the Hullabaloo, Chris started in with "Singin' in the Rain" rehearsals. With a cast of 99 and real rain coming down on the stage, Jesuit High School continued its run of phenomenally high-quality high school theater. (They even made it onto network TV because of the rain special effect.)

Chris has been participating in the drama club all year long, but we managed his expectations by reminding him that he might not get a part in the spring musical. As a freshman, he was thrilled to get a part in the ensemble. I'm sure being a boy helped quite a bit! (The cast had nearly around 80 girls and 19 boys.) Today was the final performance, and he has had a ball and is sad that it's over.

Lots of friends from our church, especially, went to see the play, and everyone enjoyed it. Today my whole family was in the audience, plus our friends Jeanne and Kathy from church.

Chris with his Uncle Stephen
He's at the strike and cast/crew celebration at the moment, and I expect he'll be feeling mopey over the next couple of days, because he's enjoyed being part of such a great production and group of kids.
