Spring break--final days in Boise

We ended our spring break in Idaho with our final weekend in Boise. On Friday afternoon we took the kids to the Boise Fry Company, where you can choose your type of potato and cut and they fry it up especially for you. They have a great happy hour in the afternoons, where you can get 2 for 1 fries and local home brews.

On our last full day in Idaho, we finally had a nice, sunny day! We took off to Camel's Back Park in the Boise Foothills.

(he wanted to be the leader)

"Jack and the Beanstalk," or so I'm told
Nick loved the zip line!
Then home for a rousing game of Boggle!

That evening Shelia and Ken graciously let us invite my college friend Tami and her husband Matt over for dinner. Tami and I both lived in Stuen at PLU and we also overlapped in Japan. We had fun reminiscing about PLU and Japan and looking at Shelia's Japan photos.

We also celebrated the fact that Ken and Shelia had an offer accepted on a house on Saturday! Very exciting.

We left on Sunday morning and drove back straight to Portland with only a few brief interludes at rest stops and a Starbucks.

Thanks, Shelia and Ken, for a fun week!
